NEW YORK, NY, July 7, 2010- Fares Cherait collection hit the runway at Africa Fashion Week New York (AFWNY) on Thursday July 15th, 2010. The event took place at 6:00 pm at The Broad Street Ballroom, Lower Manhattan’s premiere event space.
Tunisian designer Fares Cherait majored in fashion designing at London College of Fashion. He interned at Azzedine Alaia, reputable Tunisian-born couturier and shoe designer, and Ioannis Guia, a well-know high couture designer. In 2004, he created BERBERS, a line inspired from his local culture, and Berbers, and traditional Tunisian clothing with a mix of Punk Rock.
